# Billing and invoices

> Seats, proration, payment methods, and how to read what you were charged.

Your bill has two halves that behave differently. **Seats** are a subscription — predictable, charged per period. **Usage** is prepaid — resolutions, LLM cost and channel fees draw down a credit balance. This page covers the subscription half and how the two appear together.

## Seats

Seats are charged per month or per year, at the per-seat price for your plan, subject to your plan's seat minimum.

| Plan | Per seat / month | Minimum seats |
| - | - | - |
| Starter | \$99 | 2 |
| Business | \$199 | 3 |
| Advanced | \$299 | 4 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Annual contract |

**Annual billing is 20% off** the per-seat price on Starter, Business and Advanced.

<Note>
  The annual discount applies to seats only. **Per-resolution rates do not change with billing cycle** —
  the orchestration fee is unaffected, and LLM cost is passed through at provider rate either way.
</Note>

### Adding and removing seats

Adding a seat mid-period is **prorated** for the remainder of the period. Removing one takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep the seat until then.

Because included credits scale with seat count and are pooled org-wide, adding a seat also raises your monthly credit allowance. See [Credits](/pricing/credits).

## Usage

Resolutions, LLM cost on Tied-supplied keys, and channel fees all draw from one prepaid credit balance. Included monthly credits are consumed first; beyond those, usage draws from purchased credits.

You can top up manually or set an auto-recharge threshold so a purchase triggers before the balance reaches zero.

## Reading your invoice

An invoice separates the parts that behave differently, so you can see which one moved:

| Line | What it covers |
| - | - |
| **Subscription** | Seats for the period, with any proration shown separately. |
| **Resolutions** | Orchestration fees, grouped by class. |
| **LLM cost** | Token cost by model, at provider rate. Zero on BYOK. |
| **Reconciliation** | The monthly true-up between our effective-dated rate table and the provider's actual invoice, allocated pro-rata by tokens. Can be a credit or a charge. |
| **Channel fees** | Per channel, with carrier passthrough and Tied platform fee shown separately. |
| **Voided resolutions** | Automatic credits from the 30-day reopen window and retroactive negative feedback, each with its reason attached. |

Every individual resolution also has its own receipt, showing the transcript reference, the signal tier relied on, the class and its discriminator, the itemized fee and LLM cost, and a one-click dispute. See [What counts as a resolution](/pricing/resolutions).

## Payment methods and tax

Self-serve plans are paid by card. Enterprise contracts can be invoiced on net terms. Tax is calculated based on your billing address and shown as a separate line.

## Enterprise contracts

Enterprise billing differs in three ways: per-class resolution rates are **negotiated and never published**, resolution class definitions themselves are negotiable against what "moves money" or "regulated data" means in your industry, and long-horizon case work can be billed at milestones rather than per resolution.

Once a custom definition is written into a contract, it is evaluated against the action audit trail the same mechanical way as every published discriminator.
