What you need before you start
Gathering these first is the single biggest thing you can do to avoid a rejection cycle:The sequence
Create an Apple Business Register account
Register the business with Apple. This is the account that will own your Messages for Business
presence.
Submit your brand assets
Logo and brand colour. Apple applies these to the conversation, so what you upload is what customers
see in Messages — treat it as a brand review, not a form field.
Apple verifies your business
The long part. Apple confirms the entity is real, that you are entitled to represent the brand, and
that your public presence matches. Most delays happen here, and most of those are mismatches between
the registered name and the website.
Link Tied as your MSP
Nominate Tied as your Messaging Service Provider. This is what allows messages to route to your Tied
inbox rather than somewhere else.
Apple issues your credentials
Once approved you receive the identifiers needed to connect. Take those to
Connecting your inbox.
Common reasons a registration stalls
- Name mismatch. The registered legal entity does not match the name on the website or the D-U-N-S record. Apple is strict about this.
- Logo does not meet spec. Wrong dimensions, wrong background, insufficient contrast.
- Support website is thin. A landing page with no evident business behind it reads as unverifiable.
- No privacy policy, or one that is not publicly reachable.
- D-U-N-S not obtained, or obtained against a differently-named entity.
Let us do it instead
Our team can run the entire process for you — application, brand asset preparation, verification follow-up and go-live. Given how much of the timeline is avoidable rework, this is worth considering even if you are comfortable with the mechanics. The same applies to Google RCS, and one conversation covers both.Next
