Press Cmd + K anywhere in Tied and a search box opens over whatever you are looking at. The placeholder says “Search or jump to”, which undersells it — it navigates, but it also acts.
This is the fastest thing in the product and most people never find it. If you assign, label and snooze conversations all day, the command bar removes the mouse from every one of those. It is worth ten minutes of deliberate practice.
On Windows and Linux, Ctrl + K.

How it works

Open it, start typing, press Enter. It filters as you type, so you rarely need more than three or four characters. Arrow keys move; Esc closes. What it offers depends on where you are. Open it on the conversation list and you get navigation and bulk actions. Open it inside a conversation and you additionally get everything you can do to that conversation. It never shows you an action that would not work from where you are standing.

What is in it

Jump straight to any part of the app without touching the sidebar:Conversation Dashboard · Contacts Dashboard · Notifications · Reports Overview and the Conversation, Agent, Label, Inbox and Team reports.Faster than the sidebar even when the sidebar is right there, because you never have to find the thing you are clicking.
Agent Settings · Team Settings · Inbox Settings · Label Settings · Canned Response Settings · Application Settings · Account Settings · Profile Settings.Settings is the deepest navigation in Tied and this skips all of it.
Available inside a conversation:
  • Change Assignee — assign an agent
  • Change Team
  • Change Priority
  • Add label to the conversation / Remove label from the conversation
  • Snooze Conversation
  • Change status
  • Mute conversation / Unmute conversation
  • Send an email transcript
Most open a second step where you pick the agent, team, priority or label — so assigning is Cmd+K, a few letters, Enter, a few more letters, Enter. No menus.
Select conversations in the list, then open the command bar. Exactly three actions apply to everything selected:
  • Snooze Conversation — including the same snooze sub-options as a single conversation
  • Reopen Conversation
  • Resolve Conversation
There is no bulk label or bulk assignee here. For those, use the list’s own bulk-action bar instead.
Opens AI Assist on the current conversation from wherever you are.
Switch theme without going to settings. Handy when a room’s lighting changes and you do not want to lose your place.
Snooze a notification from the Inbox list.

Where it fits

Three overlapping ways to do the same things, and each is best at something different. The honest progression: use the command bar for everything, notice which three or four actions you reach for constantly, learn those as shortcuts, and turn any repeated sequence into a macro.
Cmd + K opens the command bar. Cmd + / shows the keyboard shortcut list. Two different things, adjacent keys — worth knowing so the wrong one does not surprise you.
