If you sell into Japan, Taiwan or Thailand, LINE isn’t an optional extra — it’s closer to what email is everywhere else. A support line that only covers SMS or web chat is invisible to a large share of customers in those markets.
196 million+ monthly active users, concentrated in Japan, Taiwan and Thailand rather than spread globally.

What it takes

How it works

Give Tied the Channel ID, Channel secret and Channel access token from your LINE Official Account’s Messaging API settings. Unlike Telegram, LINE has no equivalent to a self-registering webhook — whoever manages the LINE Official Account also needs to point its webhook URL, in the LINE Developers console, at the address Tied gives you. That one manual step on LINE’s side is the main difference between the two.

What you can send

LINE sends text, images and video through LINE’s Messaging API — audio and file attachments are silently skipped, so don’t rely on either reaching the customer. It’s narrower than Messenger on attachments, but richer where flows need it: a choice prompt renders as a native Flex bubble with tappable buttons, rather than falling back to plain text.

No channel fee

LINE carries no carrier cost and no Tied channel fee. See Channel fees.
